Underwear collection development

Develop your underwear collection with DALI.

Bring your assortment plan to a manufacturing team that can review fabric, elastic, fit and retail packs together. DALI helps turn the proposed women’s or men’s range into a defined sampling and bulk-production brief.

Material and collection development
01

Start with your range and its priorities.

Share the core shapes, intended customer, selling channel, target market and expected quantities. Tell us whether you are retaining an established range, changing its materials or developing a new collection.

DALI’s garment, fabric and elastic teams can review the common requirements and the differences between styles. Early product references are welcome; a complete technical pack is not a condition for starting the discussion.

02

Connect the assortment to manufacturing requirements.

A working style, size and colour allocation gives the team a basis for reviewing materials, branded elastic, labels and pack contents. Development requirements and commercial terms are confirmed for that proposed combination.

03

Agree the development route.

Set the sampling priorities: material and handfeel, fit and grading, waistband artwork or retail-pack presentation. Identify the references and open decisions for each stage so your team can review the sample against a clear brief.

The nominated production site, required supplier documents, quantities and timing are reviewed alongside the product. Once the specification and commercial requirements are agreed, the collection can move towards bulk production.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before the next step.

Can I start before my assortment is final?

Yes. Share the wearer, target market, product references, estimated quantities and the decisions still open. The discussion can establish what to resolve before sampling.

Does a shared material remove the need for separate fit samples?

No. Different shapes, edges and attachment methods can change fit. Each style needs an agreed approval reference.
