RANGE NOTES / BUYER GUIDE
Singles or multipacks? Start with the contents.
A multipack is a precise combination of garments, not just a package size. Define its contents first, then reconcile the product quantities, artwork and carton instructions.

Name the selling unit.
State how many garments make one retail pack and whether the pack uses one shape or a mix. Then list the exact colours and size rule. A three-piece pack of one size is not the same as a pack containing three different sizes.
If the offer includes both singles and multipacks, keep their references separate even when they contain the same garment. The packing and identification requirements differ.
Calculate garments and packs separately.
This example explains the arithmetic; it is not a quoted minimum quantity or a standard DALI pack. Your own size and style mix may require a more detailed allocation.
Check the total against the garment matrix before artwork and purchasing instructions are finalised. If the pack mix changes, the colour or size quantities may also need to change.
| Illustration | Count |
|---|---|
| Retail packs ordered | 1,000 packs |
| Garments per pack | 3 pieces |
| Total garment requirement | 3,000 pieces |
| If each pack has one of three colours | 1,000 garments per colour |
Make the pack identify the product.
Agree style names, size wording, barcode ownership, pack artwork and the location of identifying information. The packaging should describe the actual contents, not an earlier sample or a generic family name.
Set retail packs per carton and any carton identifiers alongside the selling-unit reference. Keep garment and packaging approvals as separate records linked to the same final assortment version.
Bring the commercial decisions together.
The garment, fabric, elastic, labels and pack structure influence the proposed programme. DALI reviews development requirements and terms against the actual combination, rather than assuming that every additional colour or pack can use the same minimum and schedule.
For a first contact, send the styles, expected garments and intended retail format. A working pack table helps the team ask focused questions without requiring a fully finished packaging project.
